Front of Stage Pit Training

Front of Stage Pit Training

Why train for Front Of Stage Pit work?
During the period 1974 - 2009 at least forty-one people are known to have died in crowd related incidents in the Front Of Stage (FOS) area of concert events. In each case the victims died in remarkably similar circumstances. Large numbers of people are routinely extracted from crowds at concert events and although not recorded, it is possible to speculate that minor and serious injuries to the public might run into thousands.

FOS Pit Safety Teams routinely extract distressed people from a crowd and deal with high-energy cultural activity and the level of injuries, such as strained backs, might be high in the UK. Health & Safety compliance training with certification of individuals is important to many leisure security organisations, venues, promoters, local authorities and insurance companies, to reduce the incidents of injury.

The aim of this course is to equip people that wish to work as FOS Pit Team members with the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure their personal safety and provide maximum standards of safety for members of the public.
