News - Select Helps Welcome Home Graeme

Select Management and Security Ltd has ensured the safety of Graeme McDowell and the crowd of fans which gathered to welcome him home from his phenomenal success as the US Open champion 2010 at Pebble Beach.

Andrew McQuillan, Director, commented; “We were contacted at just after eleven am by the event organisers who had heard of our reputation and quality driven approach. Despite having to be onsite by four we were able to assemble a team to deliver the crowd safety and protective security they required.

Given his historic win the international press where out in force and typically it can get quite heated when they are all trying to get the best pictures. We ensured that Graeme and his team got straight into the venue with minimum intrusion whilst giving the press plenty of opportunity to get what they required.

Once Graeme was inside our attention focused on the stage provided by Coleraine Borough Council where Graeme came out to conduct media interviews and sign autographs.

This was a tough event for the staff as the weather was not ideal and the pressure from constant attempts by photographers to gain access to unauthorised areas gave them a big workload. I am delighted how the event went and it proves testament to our versatility.
